At EcartService you can find an absolute goldmine of prestashop modules , including the ever popular google XML sitemap module for presta, now re-written and working

• New XML generation code using the DOMDocument(*) class
• Modified the logic to remove extra elements from the generated URLs
• Added an xml-stylesheet reference to the output file, xsl included in download
• Fixed the issues when “Friendly” urls are turned off
• Add a new field to the cms table on install to track modified dates (auto updating)
• Added removal of additional field on uninstall

(*)If your server doesn’t support this then sorry. Go elsewhere for hosting!

Newest Developments……….

The latest development in progress that we think is a nice little add-on to any e-commerce store is the integration of the Vanilla forum by Mark O’Sullivan, being used in a joint project between Rainbow Studios and Ecartservice this little tweak (thats an understatement on ecartservices technical ability i can assure you !) enables the user to make an account within either the store or the forum and hold an account for both, automatically logging you in to both pieces of software.

Still in the testing stages the Vanilla 2 plug-in will have added functionality that allows content to be cross-posted between the two as both are really still separate installations which happen to reside on the same server (and share authentication). Once that’s complete We think it will be a powerful combination.

Once the project is complete I’m sure that will be getting a showcase spot on our Portfolio Blog here at Rainbow Studios, followed by a new module for presta launch over on ecartservice.

Thought i ought start things rolling whilst we finish off the tweaks and smooth off the rough edges, those of you that have visitied this site before will recognise the design, its not that different to the old one really except i got bored with the graphic, I daresay i’ll get bored with this one too but we’ve used a nice banner rotator that will appear at some point in the near future I’m sure.
We’re aiming to make this as resourceful as we possibly can for our clients and visitors. We are also getting interactive with a brand new Chatroom been added and in the very near future a support forum for our clients and visitors.

In an effort to show that a wordpress design doesnt need to look or feel like an online diary from a users or readers point of view this design has been a challenge, wordpress comes with many functions that people do not expect to see on a business site as we have come to recognise them.  The only real indication here is the wordpress standard link in the footer. As a base for a business overview site wordpress is in my opinion second to none when it comes to functionality and usability to the end user. Removing the constant to-ing an fro-ing between designer and client when updates are required, but offering more functionality as the needs of the business change over time.

The design for exlnet.co.uk replaced an outdated straight html written site that to be honest was a pain to update and alter, this installation makes life a whole lot easier for the business owner who can now update on an adhoc basis whenever he feels like it and dedicate more time to his current and new clients. The future development of this site is now easy and relatively painless.

Since the internet began I’ve probably had twenty websites. Some I’ve tried to do myself and others I’ve paid for. When I decided to write a book I wanted a site created which blew my socks off… www.yuptoo.co.uk did that the first time I saw it and I’m still proud of it now.

Yuptoo | the warrington waffler

I have had my website for 2 years and was never happy with the design. This was going to be my 3rd attempt so i wanted to get it right, but there was a little problem, i had absolutely no idea what i wanted! I sell giftware and i wanted the design to be compatible with both childrens gifts and homewares. I contacted Rainbow-Studios and we came up with a plan of neutral colours and Donna basically did the rest. I am over the moon with my final design and would recommend Rainbow-Studios to anyone. The friendly service and quality of work is second to none. I will be using them again in the future.
